So this is my last blog from BEC 117. Sad day.
I have learned so much in this class. Honestly, I came in with a big head and thought I knew everything there was to know about everything. To my surprise, I was very wrong. This class has exposed me to many different applications and Web 2.0 projects that I would have never known about. I am mainly really excited to use iMovie in my classroom this Fall. I love the idea of being able to edit sound, pictures, and videos. In addition to the classroom materials, I love using the iMac and making our versions of "TPTE News." The fact that we get to work together on projects and help one another out.
Many helpful things we learned. I learned what technology I will use and those that I will not use (Twitter). Although I really like some of the applications, they don't seem to work for a elementary classroom.
See you on the flip side.

TPTE news video. It works this time.
This is the redo of TPTE news. Much improved from the last few times. Enjoy!
Digital Story
This is my digital story using iMovie. It was a lot of fun to use iMovie especially since I have had a Mac but never used it before. I loved learning how easy it is to use. I will definitely be using it for other projects in the future. My digital story is a combination of pictures and videos from the past year of my life. It was fun to reminisce on the past 365 days.
Round 2 of TPTE news.
Well, today we were going to have another TPTE news update. But I forgot to change the computer from camera to video, so this is the intro picture....
And this was the end picture... and it also happens to be when I realized it was camera instead. We pretty much wasted 5 minutes of class time working on this. So sad that it did not work.
Better luck next time. And keep on watching for TPTE news.
Google Forms
Google Forms is such a great tool! I really wish I had known about this tool while in undergraduate studies. (My big senior project was a questionnaire/survey/research paper/project and this would have been the best thing ever to know about!)
I love the idea of making one for your students at the beginning of the year and "getting to know them better" and also using this as a tool for them to create quizzes and surveys for one another.
This is definitely a resource that I will use in my classroom. And I am thankful to have been introduced to it. (Even if it was a couple years late.)

Animoto
Honestly, I was not in class the day we talked about Animoto. So... I had to go explore on my own. This site seems like a very helpful tool for the classroom. I love slideshows and I love being able to personalize them. The idea of making the slideshow of video is so exciting to me, since I love the use of video both in the classroom and in my personal life. I think that all teachers should integrate video into their classroom since that is what most students know now a days. All around, I think this is a good tool for teachers to use in class.

Inspiration
Today we used Inspiration to create classroom webs, maps, and organization lists. It was kind of hard to get the hang of, but once you understood it, it was very easy to use. This is a great resource for teachers to make handouts.
